Orange 300k

This is a new ride that covers the first 300k of the 400/600 km routes and starts at the same time. It is very flat and uses a lot of bike paths. It has the potential to be extremely fast. I added it because I already had 200, 400, and 600 km options so I thought I’d offer the full set. It’s one of the easiest 300km brevets in the area. The route takes you down to the coast on the Santa Ana bike path, then north on the beach path or PCH to Seal Beach where you turn inland on the San Gabriel bike path. You will turn around in Duarte and jump over to the Rio Hondo and Los Angeles River trails to the Long Beach marina. Then you will head back along the coast and ride back up the Santa Ana river trail. After checking in at the start hotel you will continue up the river trail and through Norco, onto the upper Santa Ana river trail and turn around in Riverside. The last thirty miles are mainly downhill. The total climbing on this 300k is about 4200′ with about 140 miles of bike path. You will be riding with the 400 and 600km riders almost until you turn around in Riverside.
